sharon@tenkillerlakerealty.com
Sharon has lived at Lake Tenkiller since 1989 after moving here upon her husband’s retirement from Oklahoma State University. For the first 10 years she was the Executive Director of the Lake Tenkiller Association which jump started her knowledge of the lake community. In addition, she simultaneously owned and ran her own business, Offices Services, in Cookson. She has been publishing “Totally Tenkiller News” monthly since 1995.
A native of Georgia, Sharon has been an “Okie” since 1967. Prior to moving to Cookson she worked for the Office of General Counsel of USDA, primarily processing foreclosures and issuing loan closing instructions for multi-family dwellings. She spent approximately 25 years in federal service.
Her husband, Louie, was the Assistant Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at OSU when he retired. He was in practice in Siloam Springs, Arkansas prior to going into administration. He was born and raised in old Cookson, thus the reason for retiring there. He is literally a walking history book for the lake area.
Real estate seemed an appropriate choice for a new adventure which would allow a flexible schedule. Sharon got her license in the spring of 2007 and later that year teamed up with Michelle Baker. The team concept has not only worked well for them, they believe it works well for their clients, thus their slogan “Teamed for Your Success.” The expertise they individually bring to the table combined with their team spirit is a plus whether you want to sell or buy.
